it seems that microsoft has got in on the act you can now ping live.com the same way yahoo and google

My blog is located obviously in a different directory outside of my root but my principle page is:

(for example)

http://www.xyz.com/
and my blog at
http://www.xyz.com/blog

Here is my dilemma.

I have some 140 pages in the root directory of my site now. I will be adding more. Right now I use a program called GSoft Crawler to create a sitemap for google, yahoo and others. It works fantastic!

Obviously this PARTICULAR sitemap generator, GSoft Crawler, is only putting into it, the pages inside my main root directory, NOT for the blog.

It’s going to be quite tedious to have to add all of those existing pages to the one in my blog directory, if I have to do that. I am a bit confused at this point if I really need to do this.

The other issue at hand is that the pages in my root directory get updated alot, as it’s a vendor directory. So in saying that it could pose a problem. As well I will be adding individual vendor pages quite frequently.

So I guess my question is this.

Is it possible to have 2 sitemaps generated?

For example continue to run the GSoft Crawler for the main pages in my root directory and then generate still another sitemap for my blog directory, using YOUR plugin from http://www.arnebrachhold.de OR am I asking for trouble?

I have activated the plug-in but have not generated a sitemap yet and not sure in doing this, if perhaps it will detect another one and I’ll have even more problems. (even though it’s in the root)

So any easy solution? I find that my posts for the blog are actually coming up in Google quite a bit without a sitemap generated for the blog, as I have the metatag generator in place and permalinks. But is that enough and do I really need this, if the case?

I tried posting this on the WP support site but no one has answered.
